Foolish Forties is a one woman show that delves into the intricacies of a woman in her 40s in Nairobi, single, successful and trying to date amidst the social stereotypes of strong independent women. Told in the rawest form in Dr. Zippy style which combines real stories and humour.

This is a fun filled show where we use humour and real life experiences to shed light into the reality of many women and men in their 40s, highlighting the glaring face of midlife crisis and the need for self-actualization.

In this show we delve into the struggle to keep the balance between leadership and femineity. We look through the lenses of being a woman leader on boards and the need for love and companionship.

We look through the stigma of co-parenting, creating time for the kids in school, family functions and balancing dates. In this we look at the desires for a listening partner amidst raising kids and the negotiation with your community of friends who believe it is all bliss.

The show highlights the African stereotype on feminine responsibilities, cultural roles and expectations on creating investments and building a home as a single woman and the stigma that surrounds such beliefs against the backdrop of modernity and religion.

The show seeks to answer the questions of todays culture and trends, and the new normal in dating, marriage, parenting, women in leadership and of course, dating and life in Nairobi.
